I am a marine newbie and your comment about patience is the best advice anybody can give. I waited almost 5 weeks before adding 5 scarlet hermits, 1 turbo snail and 1 emerald crab in my 46 and 2 clowns. Listening to the advice of people who have boatloads of experience (Pasfur, Wake) and generally helpful individuals like TerryAnn will make your life easier.

rounding out my 4th week --

I now have
2 Orange Amphiprion ocellaris (False Perculas)
1 Emerald Crab
13 Astraea Snails
8 Nessarius Snails
6 Blue Leg Dwarf Hermit crabs (they've been killing themselves)
3 Peppermint Shrimp (for Aiptasia Cleaning)

I plan to get 1 more Flame Angel, a couple of Star Astraea Snails, a skunk/scarlet cleaner shrimp and i'm done stocking the tank with inverts and cleaning crew and fish.

Then I wait and see the trend in the water, and sooner or later I begin my coral stocking.
