Hello Guys, i'll be showing pics tonight -- I just got my live rock (not enough 18 lbs so far, but i'll be getting more later on) right now i'm just dealing with building the tank -- i'm still getting water for the tank, just pushed 10 gallons into the tank, and i'm going to need 2-3 more trips.

bah, camera broke -- i'll have pics tomorrow of the build so far =D.

I just put in all the sand (40 lbs) and it looks decent, only 18 lbs of live rock though -- some of it burried under the sand, can't help much with that since it was recommended that way. I do have some nice pretty pieces on top and that's what counts. i'm going to buy some more, but not too sure what I should choose. total cost was rediculously high, 8.99/lbs for a certain type, and another type was 2.99 (larger chunks that didn't look good)

there were some purple rocks, but it looked like someone painted on it instead it it being natural.

going to have to wait until tomorrow for the build pics guys -- sorry.

it's all cloudy now in the tank -- weeeeeeeeeeee.

18lbs of live rock (nothing in the water swimming around)

I have no clue what exactly is growing, but the tank has been up for 48 hours.


Here's some hairs sticking out of the rocks too (keep in mind i'm a saltwater noob)

Front View -- new aquascaping. I'm going to be adding more live rocks to the left and the right hand side of the tank, right now it's just kinda sitting there. The top stone is using the backing to hold it up -- as you can tell on the side view.

Looking good, but I think that I would add a few more pounds of Live Rock, or even Base Rock. How deep is that sand bed?

Sand bed is about 1 inch -- I would add a few more lbs, but right now money is the problem. I don't have the cash right now.

I'll put probably another 7 lbs in of live rock and see what I can find. But that's probably it.

Sand Bed is good at 1" unless you plan on putting in 4-6".

7 or so more lbs should be enough Live Rock to filter that tank...
