| | Thank you ;)
I'd like to take a moment to thank Pasfur, Wake and everybody else who assisted me in setting up my tank. After 3+ months it appears to be completely healthy and stable. Coralline algae is exploding all over the place on a daily basis, micro life forms are blooming, all my fish that make it to the main tank are doing excellent, and 4 of my 5 corals are thriving and in two cases already spreading (green star polyps and mushrooms - the 5th coral (long polyp leather) was doing great until yesterday but hasn't opened for 2 days). I even survived a nudibranch episode and have a large zoa colony that is currently 100% open.
My scarlet cleaner molted (I assume this is also a good sign on water quality) and my two blue green chromis and my two clowns appear to be schooling. I am down to testing calcium and hardness once a week and everything else every other week. The only maintenance I have is emptying the skimmer every week, topping off with RODI, and doing very minor water changes every 2 to 3 weeks. Much easier to maintain than my freshwater angelfish and discus.
This really is a great site and I would suggest that any person new to marine aquariums take the time to research and to listen to the the people on this site who are here to help. Oh... and have patience!
Now its time to start the planning stage of the large reef I am going to do. Can't wait to sell this house and move so I can set up a 180 (or larger as Pasfur is now suggesting). :)
