Planning first saltwater; 20 long

Does anyone know if the API freshwater test kit will work for saltwater?

Also, anyone have experience with modding the AC70? Do you know of any heaters that fit inside besides the hydor 50w?

Am I overlooking anything that I will need?

I don't know if FW test kits work with SW.
