Newbie question about fish and feeding..

I looked in other threads and really couldn't find a answer. Basically I will have a 30g tall bowfront sw fish, live rock, with nano-beginner soft corals tank with 2-3 clownfish, 1-2 other species of small adaptable aquarium fish, 1-2 gobies, 1-2 shrimp species, and some very small hermit crabs. I will have 2 250-300 powerheads going, a protein skimmer, and a aquaclear filter. My question is, when it is time to feed these guys, what do I feed them and do I have to turn everything off for them to appropriately consume the food?

They will get the food. Or yes, some do turn off at least the powerheads so they can get the food. I'm don't turn them off.

Feed them often two to three times a day for the first five minutes and then remove the left over

Two - three times a day seems very unecessary for small clown fish?

I thought it was feed them once every day or every other day.
