So, if you test for pH at 8.2, you have no way of knowing if 8.2 is the maximum value that pH is reaching, and possibly dropping as low as 7.8 or even 7.6 during the night hours, of if the pH is more steady, holding in the 8.2 to 8.3 range. Bottom line, you need to test for alkalinity to make a more educated statement about pH.
So, have you tested for alkalinity? What was the result?
