Help Starting Out

Hello, First time poster looking for some information.

Im looking to start up a salt water aquarium. I have a 15 Gallon tank with a lot of the standard fresh water equipment (Filter, light, heater, stones)

First question is: Will most of the freshwater equipment I have work for a saltwater setup?
Im sure there is some additional equipment I will need but just wondering if the stuff I have will be good to use?
Seconds, Im really looking for a good resource site for information to start a aquarium from scratch.
If you could please provide some links or even names of good books i could check out.

I read on numerous sites the bigger the tank the easier but unfortunately 15 Gallon is all I can work with right now.

Any information / Help would be appreciated.

yes all the equipment will be fine on your salt tank....some upgrades will be in order depending on the livestock you wish to keep...but since you have to take it slow you can always start your system up and upgrade as you go ...as far as lights and skimmer...keep us posted i have a couple of nano tanks 6 gallon and i am no expert...
