I can't figure out how to send a group message, so heck with it, lets just create a thread.

I had an idea. I think it would be neat if the chat room was utilized regularly to allow for real time information exchange. It could prove very beneficial if we discussed topics openly and allowed Q&A.

Obviously this would take a long time to catch on, and we could use some sort of organizational help. (Mike, are you reading???)

If we could designate a time and day each week to sign into the chat room and have a discussion about any topic, I would be game. The nice thing about having a group is that we would not have to worry about the commitment. If one of us can't make it, no big deal.

I miss the days of live chat. These forums are such a slow way to provide help. Lets do something real time!

Thoughts?

How about those of you asking questions regularly. Would this help??

Great idea IMO. I do remember the old forum, and going on the chat every so often. I think it would be a very good way to "spread knowledge".

sending multiple messages is easy.

you simply type peoples names in the box seperated with ; for example.

cody; skaustin; pasfur

now someone called my name? i saw this and thought you had a serious problem. lol, well im glad you dont and just want to be helpful. i think this is a good idea, i dont think we will have to "schedule" times to be on there if we get it going. i feel theres so many members that if we get it jump started it should be self supporting.

Well, frankly, you should be holding a live chat session as scheduled by other members. Pick the day when most of you are available to chat around and plan out the time exactly for this chat session. This has been done in most forums I joined. Though not everyone may be able to join due to unexpected circumstances, nevertheless, most members are there for the session. Include in your agenda which topics exactly to discuss so there will be less hassle in doing the live chat session.

LOL, Pasfur! Just for that, I'll be willing to assist you in holding a chat live session, that is, if I can manage my time between personal commitments, hobby and then website building.

Time and date first and then we'll see which time can accommodate most or hopefully everyone. I might have some interesting topics I can throw for the session and save the chat log for everyone to refer into.

Pasfur i think this is a great idea IMHO and i've contemplated this for a while. had onefish help me with fragging zoas. We did it in the chat and it worked great. one of my clubs has a chat that's set up that is really convinient DallasMAS just check it out and if you're in the Dallas area, welcome.
