algae spots?

Hey I got all this algae spots on my glass and on my sand and I am hating it, What should I do? How many snails/and hermit crabs should I have for a 75 gallon. It is getting ugly having that brown color on my sand and on my glass.

sounds like diatoms, this is normal for a new tank. let it run its course. get a mixture of different kinds of snails. lets say 20-30 then slowly increase these numbers.

Today I took my water to the fish store and they tested it and they said everything is perfect and inline, where it should be. But I dont really understand if that means my tank has fully cycled or not. The diatom that you are saying that it is. You are saying that I should let it take its course, what will it do? When will it stop? And what does it cause to my tank and so on.. ? Thank You
