What lighting should i get for my 47g sw? It is about 20" in length and about 4ft deep. Tall tank. I dont have any coral, but want to get, and want to the coraline algee to start forming on my lrs. Would prefer one with the stands that connect to the sides of the tank and with a moon light.

Can someone, please post some links to some, thank you.

How much do you want to spend? This is the main concern here. I could find some lights for you, but I need to know a budget. (BTW, finding used is good for the most part, but I will find new for you).
Would rather get a good one than worry about price, so anyone that you can suggest. I was looking at coralife ones. Right now my lighting is low, 15w, one bulb, and it seems like my live rock is not getting any algae growth, still a grayish white, color. I have read I should get a 50/50 fluorescent lighting and one with a moon light. I want to get corals later on, so what ever you think would be best thanks.

But there is no 20" option. This would leave you left with overflow on the sides, which isnt pretty to look at, and it decreases the actual amount you get.

Try looking into Current Dual Satellite Power Compact Fixture, or Orbit Power Compact Fixture. Both are very good products and will start you off right.

Cody, it's not about wpg, but lumens and K rating. Watts will just help you determine that amount of electricity used to light the lamps.
Correct. Most of the time reefs need either need T5O or MH. If the tank it over 24" deep, MH's are a must with reefs.
Could you point to some MH lighting? thanks

The light that Cody posted above is a MH (The SunPod). I'd get that.
