want to learn more about lights

ok so those who have followed my build have seen the various light set ups i have gone with .. a month ago i went with a new set of T5 lights
i have two fixtures and each has 2 bulbs.. 1x 12000k and 1x true actinic in each fixture
at the moment they are set up
front 12000k
true actinic
12000k
true actinic

i was wondering what other combos people would use with these bulbs and what bulbs they may replace any of them with?

i really love the look at this moment but want to consider a crisper look

i was considering placing the 2 - 12000k at the front and back with the actinic in the middle but i am not sure ...

thoughts ideas? experiances you care to share and any light conversation is welcome

Recently changed out my original bulbs for new ones. Decided to go with ATI bulbs which seem to be accepted as top of the line or atleast close to it. Definitely a noticeably improvement. If I were you I would try to get more PAR than your current bulbs. Take a look at the ATI stuff: popular choices are the Blue Plus, Aquablue and Purple Plus. Especially the blue plus is a cool lamp, really makes your colors 'pop' like an actinic but still has a high PAR to help your corals grow.

Here is a good site with some info about T5s
http://home.comcast.net/~stevelarsen00/site/?/home/

PAR is Photosynthetically Active Radiation. In other word how much energy is put out that is available to your corals.
