U.K HOB Supplier

Hey TFK,

I'm thinking about buying a HOB filter to use as a DIY Refugium (with a little LR and chaeto) for a extra filtration.

I've read on here a lot about the aqua clear model which seems really good. However my problem is that I'm struggling to find a website which sells them in the U.K as my LFS does not.

When I do stumble across a HOB in the UK they are not transparent plastic (like the aqua clear) which is something I need for the chaeto to be successful. I will need to use a light/LED.

is there any U.k residents who can point me in the right direction?

once again reefing thank-you for the reply, you seem to be the most active member of this forum haha,

would it help at all to include carbon media if using this type of filtration?

I would not run carbon in a SW tank. Its been known to cause HLLE in fish. You can run it from time to time, but not 24-7. Try Purigen or Chemipure Elite instead.

Thanks again,

I did a bit of reading up on the products listed and i like the sounds of Purigen most.

Will be be fine to run along side LR and chaeto?
