Sump pumps

Does every one run their sump pumps with the foam filter on or off?? I put some micro algae in my Refugium. Without the filter I get small bits of micro algae into the aquarium. Tha dansel ate it up but not I took the dansels out and have 2 clown fish. Hope to add more in a couple of weeks. I'm sure after the micro algae gets going this should stop. The algae the pet shop gave me has some short stems in it.

I keep mine off, otherwise it just gets clogged up

Take pride in what you do, for it is a reflection of who you are.
