Hi everyone.
Well I have decided to get a Marine tank with a sump which has been custom built for me and collected from the store yesterday but I'm stuck and going around in circles after reading so many different opinions so I thought i'd lay out my plan with you trusted guys and girls..
I have a 240l tank on a cabinet with a 120l sump tank in the cabinet and the shop assistant (although very nice I feel is rubbing his hands together behind my back...!)
The tank measures 122cm Long by 60cm high by 38cm deep
I have purchased so far....:
1 x 600l Skimmer
1 x Marine glo 39watt light
1 x Life Glo 39watt light
2 x light reflectors
1 x power unit for the two lights
1 x Fluval E300 heater
1 x Salinity Refractometer
I am going back tomorrow to purchase a smalll 3000 litre per hour pump some hose connectors and piping.
I will be putting live rock and coral in the tank with the cleaning crew (crab snail shrimp) and then adding fish but got alot to do before that...!
I have the blue pastic chamber in the corner of the tank with a holein the bottom and getting the plastic seal and pipe to feed the water into the sump tank, 1st chamber, with the skimmer into the second chamber and filtered water in the last chamber being pumped back into the tank, oh and getting the shepards crook..?? tomorrow too..
That's about as far as I have got....I know I need to get the salt, live rock and coral sand as well and also a couple of powerheads to circulate the water but any guideance, tips and set up help from connecting everything to adding water please feel free to add your experience......
Thanks
Phil and Allie
