Has anyone ever tried one of these? I'm thinking of getting one to install on the return line of my sump to add a more turbulent flow through the tank. Here is a link with a pretty good description. I'd like to hook it up to an eheim 1260 pump.

I know of about a hundred of them in use. They work really well unless a small bit of sand gets in them. They work well with 600-1,000GPH of flow.
