well that sucks. when i drilled mine i honestly didnt know if it was tempered or not. i can now tell you it isnt. if it was that was honestly going to be using that as my excuse to buy a reef ready if it did shatter.
i want to say tanks 55 and smaller generally speaking the backwall isnt tempered. i am not sure on that.
i have also heard something about using polarized glasses to see if you can see a spectrum from the glass, i dont know how true that is either.

I am going with a reef ready design, simply due to the space requirements in my dining room. I need the aquarium to be nearly flush to the back wall.

It is amazing that my fiance has not offered any resistance to such a large tank. She has encouraged me to go larger if I want. I just don't have the wallet for anything bigger!

I just paid for the 180 and scheduled delivery for March 4th. It is a reef ready dual overflow, rated at 900 gph each.

It comes with Durso Standpipes, bulkheads, and lock line returns, all for only $60 extra. I thought that was a pretty good deal, just to save time and gas.

I AM EXCITED!!

You should be excited! I'm not sure what I'm more happy about for you...the new tank or a fiance that is so "rockin". Lucky man, you are!

If you don't stand up for something you'll fall for anything...
