I'm curious about the best bulbs/lighting for a refugium. Mine in particular only houses cheato macro algae, no live rock, sand, or any inhabitants.
I currently have an 18W light for it (9W 10K and 9W actinic), and the refugium itself is 9" x 12" footprint, 14" water depth. Would I be better off not even using an actinic (replace it with a 2nd 10K), and possibly even using 6.5K or some other type of bulb instead of 10K(s)?
My main goal of course would be to make the best environment possible for the cheato to flourish. Thanks in advance for any advice!
