Drilling to make it RR is always pref... seeing as there's water in there already i don't think that's an option. I'm aware you're trying to attach the DT to the sump, but you're not i'm not sure how well this will actually pan out and compared to other methods, i'm not sure why you'd want something so bulky in the Display anyways. I watched the vid, it didn't look very professional. I'd rather see a black overflow box with a piece of PVC in it and then that leading to the sump and ect and not this bulky thing. Will it even re-prime itself if power were to ever turn off?

You didn't rub any algae on the scrubber? You're suppose to, that'll ensure good algae growth.

really i dont care wat it looks like now, its only a 55 gal and i didnt want to sink much money into it...this works tho and even re primes i was thinking about makeing another one after i got to see how it worked and messed with it a little. i realize it will be a mess if the hole got pluged!!!ill prob make 2
of2f not shure if that design would work or restart itself ? i plan on getting a 125 gal soon as i can afford it predrilled i like RR too !! i didnt want to drill the 55 to much of a hassel

what do you mean by glue the impeller of your pump? Superglue gel should work just let it set over night.

sounds like a cheap pump if its breaking so easily. since the shaft is broken id assume you cant just purchase a new impellar. if its a submersible pump i recommend mags.

dont know if i can get a replacement impeller i cant contact the company?
mag drive in general ? i agree, this pump is a garden treasures pond pump from lowes ,and is a mag drive pump but it has a white kinda glass shaft.i got the pump from a friend and i need a pump for the scrubber i built.he gave me 2 both are the same brand the one that is broke says md200 and the smaller one that i m using now says md170 they are not listed on the lowes website.....??? "mag drive 9.5" is wat i want dont got the money i would use it as a return pump with a diverter to the scrubber.
