Pump Noise

Does anyone have any advice on lowering the noise level of my pump in my sump?

The bottom of my tank is open and the pump's vibrations are driving me nuts!! I thought I could live with it, but I can't!!

I thought of laying the bottom of the pump on a sponge and tying the sponge to the pump. But I am afraid of something unwanted coming from the brand new sponge.

What does everyone else do?

Suction cups. If there isn't a way to mount them, super glue them on with LocTite gel superglue. they make for a perfect shock absorber, and wont collect detritus and other materials.

Take pride in what you do, for it is a reflection of who you are.
