I've read most of the threads but everyone seems to have a bigger tank than me.
So I was wondering if a nano koralia and a mj 900 plus a skimmer (sea clone) and a AC 300 be enough current in my tank. I don't have my AC300 running all the time. I don't see any dead spots. But I do see a fine film on the top of the water in one corner by the nano koralia.

You should always have at bare minimum flow 10 times your tank size(in gallons) so you need at least 300gph, better would be 600gph. so if your #'s from the pumps you have add to in between these #'s it'll be fine, which it sounds like it is. i have a MJ600 MJ400 and Skimmer pushing my 25g and my corals are doing well as well as my fish.

I would suggest running your AC300 full time, even if you run it empty. The "top down" water current created by a hang on unit is beneficial and difficult to achieve with only power heads.
