potein skimmer

I added some stress coat in my tank last night because I had to take off the hood and lighting and do some work on the tank yesterday. anyways now when I turn on the protein skimmer. the bubbles never stop someing out. It fills the cup in about 5 sec. so I left it unpluged last night. Well I pluged it in this morning and the same thing happened.

Any Ideas how to get it working again?

Let it run. When you put chemicals or even your own hands in the tank the skimmer may act a little wierd at first but it will get back on track.

Leave it off for a few days if you don't want to keep emptying it. You should have no reason to add "stress coat" ever to your tank. Being organics in nature, usually some sort of aloe oils, it will definitetely make your skimmer go nuts. It may even contribute to feeding algaes. Any sort of oil is exactly what a skimmer is looking for to react with. Other things to look out for Amino acid supplements, Dripping Kalk to quickly, 2 part epoxies, liquid foods.
