need help..

guys, if you set-up the heater in a 80 degrees F.. can we feel the warmest of the water or not?

because, i set-up mine to that temperature, and when i feel it, i think it's not warm.. is there any possibilities that my heater is not working? need help guys.. thanks in advance..

Water at 80 degrees should feel slightly cool to the touch. Remember, your body temperature is about 98.6. Anything below that should feel cool or cold (depending on the deviation from that temperature).

I would see about getting yourself a thermometer just to be sure. Even a cheap stick on one would keep your mind at ease.

You may want to consider keeping your temperature set a little lower than 80 too. I'd aim for 78, Thats where I keep mine at.

Some cichlids do better in warmer temperatures. I believe it would in large part depend on what particular species you are caring for but 78 to 80 should be comfortable to most.

The most important medication in your fish medicine cabinet is.. Clean water.
