Big Al's has the Hydra Khoria(sp) on sale for the 1,2,3,4 models and I was wondering if I needed to get another one and which one you would suggest? Is it possible to have too much water flow? [/u]

Hydor

I just got two Hydors and in my initial tests I like them better than any conventional powerhead. The output seems to spread much faster than something like the Maxijet. The output is much more of a cone shape as compared to a narrow cylinder. There is one plus the the MJ. There is an easy mod that can make any MJ into a multi-directional power head. You must use a wavemaker for it to work however. Google Maxijet mod if you want more information. BTW most people say with you primary filters plus powerhead, you should be moving the tank 20 times per hour. You individual needs may vary but thats what I have been hearing.

Add up the GPH of every pump and powerhead in the tank and then divide that by the size of your tank.

I run 4,800GPH from Tunze Streams through my 75g tank. A rate of about 60 times an hour.
