How much light do I need for my 300 gal salt water tank if I want to have corals? Can you please tell me what the min/max is? And if possible if there is a kit or brand you would recommend?

Thanks alot sandy

With something of that size, we'll need to know the depth of the tank, how deep the substrate is (or planned to be), and what kinds of corals you are planning to keep?
Can you please post tank dimensions and answers to the other questions so we can help you?

While you're at it, can anyone recommend lighting for a new 180 gal - 72" x 24" x 24" tank. Would like to have a complete reef system, without a canopy, but with glass covers.

Here are two I am considering:

72'' Halide Compact Aquarium Light 3X 400 w/ Moon (Current?) -

3 Deluxe Kit with 2- 400 watt MH & 2-65 watt PC Bulbs(14K)
manufactured by Hamilton $ 819.99

36 bow, Coralife 130w + 28w T5, Remora skimmer, and small fish
