You cannot get any T5's or PC's for this tank. They will not penetrate deeper than 20". Anything 20-24"+ tall NEEDS halides.

There is a 4 to 5 inch sand bed in there making it about 20 inches ,so I will be getting t5s and not halides, and I am sure that will work fine. Also, I dont plan on putting much in the sand itself.... most will be placed on rocks.

I did a little research and found a thread with someone who keeps a clam at 21 inches with a nova extreme pro set up and said it was doing great. Also, I did some measurements, and my deepes crevice in the sand reaches 20 inches, and most other places only about 18.

I would like to see the thread.

And you will most likely use the sand, especially in a tank that narrow. And even more if you frag stuff.

It's very possible to keep a tank with just t5's alone. Always make sure you do change the bulb for as often as they need to be changed (which is 6-8mo if i remember correctly).

Will do. Do you keep t5s or halides?

I personally use Metal Halides, but would love to go to T5. I've been looking at some tanks with them and... WOW!
