Got some used lights..help

Where to start! oh yes!

Ok, so I went out and got a sump/skimmer/pump for sump and skimmer/and 3 light settings...for 125$....all used, but in excellent condition.

So now I'm "stuck". The lights are all 96 Watt Coral Life 50/50'sa, and measure out to be 15 inches (I dont know if you include prongs.) I'm going to make my own canopy (I have fans) and hang it from the ceiling over the tank ... with caution.

What I want to know is... what would fit in these as far as replacements go, I would say i have roughly 6 months left of good life on these bulbs. Also would 3 of these sets at 96 watts each be enough to keep life rock...living, and maybe enough for corals/other inverts?

That is what I have x2! But those measure out to be about an inch longer.. odd.

Anyways - any help would be awesome.

no u dont incluede the prongs because they fit inside where it connects to, just measure the space between the place where it connects to and u got the measurment for ur bulbs.so u have a quad power compact lighting x 2? or...just 2x acintic bulbs?the picture u posted has actually 4 bulbs in it.make sure wat bulbs u have cause u can run them higher if u some how managed to get VHO bulbs u can run them higher on a better ballast but if they r just power compact they save u money

I would just replace the bulbs. You said they were used, so that means they are not burning to full when turned on. As for corals they should be fine for the low light corals, mushrooms, zoo's polyps, etc. For the sps and LPS they wont do.
