Filter question

i have a hang on hagan 70 aqua clear filter for a 55 gallon should i get another filter or should i just keep this one or get secound hang on

I would keep what you have and add the second filter. Removing the filter for a replacement filter could harm your cycle. The way a 55 gal is long, having a filter on both sides of the tank would be beneficial.

I disagree completely.

The first AquaClear has no place on a 55 gallon saltwater aquarium. Adding a 2nd only makes the situation worse. These filters are designed to remove particulates from the water and biologically process ammonia and nitrite. This is exactly the opposite of what we are trying to do in a marine aquarium. Unless there is information that I am missing on this thread, you are not on the right track for a successful marine aquarium.
