My Clowns LOVED swimming against the current of my HK 3 when the 46 was set up. I had a HK 3, a HK 2 and my return pump doing 700 GPH before 4 ft of head.
I think that once you get your corals set up in the tank, you'll get a good idea of what kind of flow you want to accomplish. Just make sure there are no dead spots.
