euro reef RS80?

Is the Euro Reef RS80 a good skimmer for a 72G FOWLR tank? Are there others that are better for the $?

Also, I am looking at Marine Depot and they have the RS80 for about $250 and they also have an RS80 with extruded acrylic for about $180? I assume this is just a difference in materials because all the other specs appear the same. Is there a good reason to spend the extra $70?

If you want to save a buck buy the extruded version. They work the same. You cannot go wrong with a Euroreef skimmer. My next ER skimmer is ( I scored it this weekend) 60" tall and 14" diamter. You might save an additional $ bby getting an ASM. ASM are ER clones but made of extruded materials. That was the only difference until ER said F-U and made theirs from the cheaper material as well. But if you look around enough you might be able to find an ASM for the same price but double the size. I have an ESV-5 (89g) ER on my 75 and it's awesome. Look on EBAY as many people discount blemish ER's for excellent money.

So what is the disadvantage of extruded/cheaper materials? I assume they both function the same and I can't imagine either will wear out. I don't mind paying the premium if there is a significant advantage, just don't want to throw my money away.
