Current USA Nano Skimmer

I just got the current usa nano skimmer. i was wondering if anyone has experience with this? also is there supposed to be little bubbles coming out of the side of a skimmer. I know some bubbles come out of the collection cup. I am talking about right before the collection cup. there is a little white filter that allows air through the sides of the skimmer. Is this area supposed to be under the water or above the water?

I have no experience with this model, but i have used similar internal skimmers.

The height of the skimmer above or below the water surface will impact the quality of the foam. Try moving the skimmer up or down to achieve a thicker foam discharge.

As to the bubbles coming out the side of the skimmer, is this the discharge area? I would think it mandatory for bubbles to exit back into the water. This is pretty standard for internal models.

Ok thank you very much. This is my first skimmer. The discharge bubbles are breaking right at the surface of the tube they come out of. I have heard this is how they are supposed to come up out of the skimmer.
