Not sure of which section this would go in...
My Question, Does Carbon remove supplements like Live Rock food and Reef Enigizer/filter feeders food or just Meds?

Aquasonic Skimmer with 3000ltr pump

*Fish @ the moment: Powder Blue Tang, South Seas Devil, Mandarinfish, Lemon Peel, Bi-colour angel, Coral beauty, Scopas Tang(4in), Coral Banded Shrimp(been in tank for 4/5yrs) and a Dusky Anemonefish(3in).. and 2 Red Base Sand Anemones..A pair peppermint shrimps.

from what i know it totally removes meds. i use it with supplements such as calcium, though i add them at least 24 hrs. apart. or else the carbon will remove it.

By what I have read and heard carbon removes alot of stuff like essiantial elements, waste etc. But I dot think think it removes everything like people are saying. I dont use none in my tanks. Except in my 14 gallon nano. BUt I dont think it will remove invert food and other forms of micro foods.

My understanding is that it will trap anything that will fit into it's micro pores. Keep in mind that it is spent within 5 days. After that it can hold no more. After about 30 days it may begin leaching waste back into the water.
