I have an ALL-GLASS Aquarium hood on my tank. The tanks is 39 gallons. Plans are for me just to have fish and inverts. Maybe some tubes and polys. Can I just get a different bulb for this or do I need one? It currently has a T-8 17 watt bulb.
You should look at upgrading to compact florescents or T5's. I personally like the compact florescents for small aquariums. Coralife makes a nice unit for an affordable price. Check out www.thatpetplace.com for a nice deal on these units.
I have a pretty good bundle tight up right now. I'll proably change out the light hood next month. for now would it be worth replacing the bulb????
