and please leave comments. It lets me know you are infact enjoying it, or hate it.

As for books... Martin Moe is a great author. His book Marine Aquarium Refernce, Systems and Invertebrates is considered the bible of SW aquaria pre Sprung and Delbeck.

You guys make me sick...

Sick with envy! : )

One day, when I grow up, I want to be an aquarist just like Kellsindel, Onefish2fish and Cody.

well don't make the same mistakes i made. i started my SW venture when i was 18. i knew nothing about the hobby nor did i have a good LFS to go to for info. No one told me about forums until i was 21... i had good and bad exp, but i've learned much from them.

Now i read daily, info and learn something new almost everyday (in the hobby). I've been in the hobby now for 6years and still, one can't learn all there is. Never forget that all fish are different and corals have a mind of their own as well.

Well, I'm only 14, so I don't know if you can look up to me yet...

As to the mods:

Each AIO comes with 3 compartments in the back.
The first, with stock, holds a sponge.
The second, with stock, holds bioballs.
The third, with stock, holds the powerhead and a heater.

You would want to take out the sponge for the first, and either run nothing or a bunch of filter floss. You would have to rinse this daily, though, so a lot of people avoid this. There is also a false floor on the bottom which needs to be popped out to avoid the collection of detrius. The first could also hold some carbon if you want, but needs to be changed every other week and is not needed.
The second is usually turned into a refugium. This is to hold macroalgae (which takes out nutrients), reproduce pods, and support some bio filtration. I would stick a wad of chaeto in there, and trim it out when needed. You would need to incorporate some sort of lighting for the fuge itself that does not flood into the main tank. Many other mods on that. Some add live rock rubble here for extra bio filtration, but this tends to build up detrius and your main display should provide al of that.
The third can also have filter floss, and carbon if you dont want to have anything in the first, but it is just usually holds a heater and powerhead.
