I have this one right now (50) http://www.marinedepot.com/aquarium_...ar.asp?CartId=

I like but I am afraid about it falling in the water. The instructions said not to let in the water, and if it does fall in unplug then reach in to get it. When I first got the power head I didn't read until after I was installing it. I will continue to use it but would like to add something that I can put completely into the water.

Hi There

I'm no expert on filters/power heads but the Eheim aquaball is 100% waterproof as i have the filter on the far left and its under the waterline by about 3 inches. i do like this range as you can buy all parts separately and make a customized filter/power head and there are extra fittings for the outlet to take clean water to where you want it!

as for the others you linked to, I couldn't really say as i've never used any of them.
hopefully somebody else here could help?

cheers Ben

The Ehiem is a great product. You do not tell us what the pump is for. I can tell you to forget the Zoomed sweep. I've seen both the Hydor and Tunze in action. For the little price difference I'd get the Tunze. But if saving a dollar is your thing the Hydor is an excellent pump. Do keep in mind that since Tunze are considered some of the best products available and the nano's are new products, availability is extemely limited. A friend of mine here in ATX is THE ONLY direct US importer for TUNZE. All of the Tunze sold here in the US comes from him. He says that the Nano's are backordered at most retailers and they are making lists for reservations.

Just looking for a little more flow in the tank. I am thinking the ehiem is just what I need. I have good flow now on the right side just want a little more on the left.

But Dave you still avoided the million dollar question, what size is the tank? you might be surprised by how well a Tunze stream, like a 6060 or 6080, might do the entire tank.

2 of the Hydor or Tunze nanos would be good as you could get the flow from 2 directions. 1 Tunze 6060 would do a bang up job with 1,600gph flow.
