vacuuming around a fish tank???
Alright.. so I'm doing a little cleaning and I had to vacuum around the fish tank... I didn't think they would flip so much... I thought they were going to jump out the little opening by the filter... It clearly stressed the hell out of them as they are still very jumpy... Obviously I can't not vacuum... So does anyone else have this problem or a suggestion on how to minimize stress when I do have to clean? Thanks!!!

Ah my one fish looks very bad :S She is like under the filter but not where the current is just floating near the top and her tail is like curled in :( Whats going on? Did I really scare them this bad? This is the first week they have been in that tank so it's the first time I have had to vacuum around there... In their old ten gallon the vacuum never used to bother them?

they will get used to it. just the vibrations in the water they are not used to.

My barbs were skittish for 3 days after the first time. Just vacuumed again, and they didn't care for it, but were right back to normal when the vacuuming was done.
