Hi Everyone I am a new member. I have bad luck with fish, my goldfish dead the next day after buying them. So I bought a Betta fish and i don't want it to die. I know i need a heater for my tank but cant afford one right now. Will my Betta fish still be fine without one? Until i can get one. Karyn |
I had that same problem with goldies for awhile, and then I figured out that they need more room and more frequent water changes. A betta should be fine without a heater, and they are very hardy fish so it shouldn't die the next day. |
Welcome to TFK! I'm not an expert on Betta's but realize they're often kept in very small bowls. Please consider getting a tank so the fish can swim. AD/MJV |
Welcome to TFK also. Again, am not an expert in Bettas and depending on the size of the bowl / tank it is now and whether your house stays relatively warm, it may not need a heater. It would though be beneficial to look into getting a small 10g tank with a heater to allow it extra room to swim. If you need advice, please do not hesitate to ask as our members will offer assistance. |
hello and welcome. hope you have better luck this time around.:-D |
