any ideas for bottom feeders?

I have platy and i would like to add a couple bottom feeders. I was gonna buy some rili shrimp and cherry shrimp but my local pet store was selling them for 8 bucks a pop. Any ideas?

I'll second that about the corrys. If you have room for at least two of them, as they are very social. If you could get more than two that would be even better. I have false julie corrys and I love watching them play around together. Plus they clean up anything that is left on the bottom of the tank.

Any ideas

You could see about getting some amino shrimp. They are usually cheaper than the cherry shrimp and they are still cool to watch. Plus they clean up the bottom well also. Most times stores will just call them algae eating shrimp.

I would not recommend Corys for a 10 gallon. They need to have at least 3 in their group as they are social. They really need 5+.

Shrimp is a great idea. Hard however to find anything other than ghost shrimp unless you have a local fish store.
