Another ID these fish 7 Attachment(s) I'm trying to ID these 2 blue fish. They were both sold as P. socolofi but I"m questioning that now. |
Pseudotropheus zebra ... Common name blue zebra cichlid :):):) Posted via Mobile Device |
Are they both this species? |
I believe so. There used to be a "P. socolofi" and a "P. socolofi 'Zebra'" but I believe they are still the same species (for now) |
The striped one is not a zebra or socolofi....by the way the cobalt blue zevra is a varient of the red zebra. the socolofi are a completely different species. The solid one could be either, but I lean toward the zebra. The striped one is a lombaroi aka Kenyi. |
Blue fish is a Pseudotropheus elongatus not a Kenyi. Other one looks like a young Metriaclima callainos (Cobalt Zebra) but cannot see enough of the color to be certain. |
They are both blue. One has stripes one doesn't. I'll mention the one with stripes will sometimes go black stripes with white body instead of blue sometimes. Seems to be when displaying dominance. |
am 99% sure it is Metriaclima callainos (non stripped one). |
