lighting on 55 gallon..
 

I have a double strip fixture and plan on getting an aqua glo t8 and a life glo t8 for a planted tank. Is this good lighting? Anyone familar with these bulbs. Was told they work very well together.

Assuming you're talking more about the color temp of the bulbs rather than the brand?
I do this with my tank. Mine are called Ocean Sun and Tropic Sun. 10,000K (more in the blues/deep water), and 5,500K (more like daylight/shallow water)

Should work fine as far as I know. Someone might suggest LEDs or T5s but they can get spendy.
