Bought plant, now have baby fish. Help!

Hi,

I have had my tank for about a month now, and have no fish in it because I have been doing a fishless cycle. I have, however added some live plants.
I have recently purchased a moss ball and a Green Cabomba plant (got these at different stores), and they have been in my tank for about a week now.

I cleaned my tank today because the Cabomba plant was a mess and was dying so I threw it out.
The plants brought snails into my tank and I noticed these the very day I added the plants.

However, just after cleaning my tank today, I have noticed about ten tiny fish.
I have no idea what kind of fish they are or what to do.
Of course I want to keep them.

I will attach a picture but it is very difficult to see them.
They have white heads, and you can see through their long bodies... that's about it in terms of discribing them.
By the way, those other pieces in the picture that are not circled in red are pieces of the Cabomba plant.

My questions are:

How can I find out what kind of fish they are?

Does anyone have any advice for me in order to keep them alive? What will they eat? Will the filter get them?...

Thank you in advance!
Jessica

Well, they're most likely a type of livebearer, as they tend to breed even in stores.
I saw a case where someone ended up with a platy fry from a plant, but 10! Oh my you are lucky. :D
I'd probably get them out of the cycling tank.. Put them in a large plastic container, cover with plastic wrap and poke holes in, and float it in the cycling tank so it can be kept warmer.
You can try feeding crushed flakes, if that doesn't work you'll have to go to a pet store and look for a live food culture for them.
Good luck with these!

They will eat fish food if you crush it up real tiny. The filter probly won't get them if you have plants.I can't tell what they are I would just wait till they get bigger.
