How to kill snails and eggs on live plants?
 
I bought a live plant and wanted to know if theres any way to do it with out harming my cichlids?

You can give it a 10 - 20 min bath in potassium permangranate, this kills the snails and eggs. Rinse it off with tapwater and add it to your tank.

You could also dip the tank in Alum, for snails and eggs though, you need 2 to 3 days worth of soaking.

Diluted bleach is another method but very dangerous for the plant so I wouldn't recommend it.

Popular method often used to eliminate snails from plants.:)

Well I just bought one at my work and I think I am just gonna return it because I dont want any chance of getting snails and I dont wanna hurt my fish. But thanks for everything I appriciate it!
