what are the best plants for a 20 gallon tank?

i currently have 3 unknown plants, a bushy one and two that have leafs but also have a bamboo-like stem. thay cover about 1/4 of the tank, i am wondering if i should have more plants, what kind, the cheapest, and the best for breeding danios and neon tetras

Depending upon whether it is a 20h or a 20l tank, I would start out with cryptocorynes, sagitaria, elodea, and hornwort. But, in doing so one must take into consideration the welfare of your fish. Select plants that have much the same requirements.

neons are very very very hard to breed.

maybe some kinds of moss.
