Help Idenifying

Can anyone help me identify these 9 fish. I know 2 are Gouramis, and 1 is a betta, but the other 6 I'm not for sure. I believe 2 are a goldfish but not for sure.

looks like a couple of tinfoil barbs, a red tailed black shark and if i can see right the second picture in the middle looks like a silver dollar.
1 beta
3 gouramis
2 tinfoil barbs
1 red tailed shark
1 silver dollar......

umm could you get another like the first pic, cause theres a see-through fish in the middle that almost looks like a rainbow fish or something but better pics would definatly help

1 male betta (betta splendens)
1 widow tetra (white) (Gymnocorymbus ternetzi)
2 lace gourami (Trichogaster leeri)
1 opaline gourami (Trichogaster trichopterus)
2 tinfoil barb (Barbonymus schwanenfeldii)
1 redtail black shark (RTBS) (Epalzeorhynchos bicolor )

Here are some more pictures, there is a total of 19 fish all together in here, and I know I have the following for sure 5 Red Eye Tetras, 2 Black Skirts Tetras, 1 Bala Shark, 1 Gourami, and 1 Molllie. Then today I know I added 2 more Gouramis, and 1 betta, not for sure on the rest. These were given to me so I'm not for sure what they are, or if they are compatiablie. She said the betta lived in her tank with her fish fine, is this true? http://fishforum.com/userpix/3824_MVC036S_1.jpg

Ok people don't kill me, but I'm posting more pictures. This time it's off all the fish in my tank, because it's really hard to catch the news ones by theirselves to get a picture. So bear with me, and hopefully these pictures will be better than other ones. All help is greatly appreciated. I think they've all be identified but someone did ask for better pictures. I'm still relativley new to the whole tank life, I've had my tank for about a 1 month and half. So let me know if I have too many fish in my 55 gallon tank, the biggest fish is about 4 inches, and I do have 3 algae eaters, 1 is about 8 inches long, 1 about 4 inches and 1 about 3 inches. I know the bala shark is suppose to be a aggressive fish, but so far I've not seen this one cause any trouble. But I do plan on getting ready of him eventually as I know he gets WAY to big for my tank.

The tinfoil barbs will get very large.

blueblue48 12-11-2007 06:16 PM

by algae eaters do you mean plecos? because if you have three in that tank (and there the common ones im thinking of) youll need to get rid of them because they can get really big

tiffianylynn 12-11-2007 09:05 PM

Ok so the Tinfoil Barbs will have to come out eventually due to them getting to big.

As far as the algae eaters go, I know one of them will get to 2 ft long, and I believe one of the others will to. But as far as the one I got today looks like the other two with the big head and all but this ones colors are totally different. I don't know if it's where this one was in shock from it's living conditions or what.

What kind of algae eaters do you recommend?

Does the Betta have a chance of survival in the tank with the others? Right now it's just keeping to it self, if it doesn't I want to remove it before it gets killed.

I think there is a very high chance of him being nipped and harassed. Keep a very keen eye on him for a while.
