Cute Little Hitchhiker with my plants So, there's a baby platy in my tank! Bought plants today and there he was in the tank! Cute as a button and so teeny tiny I keep worrying I'm going to lose him! How do I look after him properly? Can he just eat normal fish food? |
If you crush up some of the flakes so that they're almost powder, it should be fine. Or you can always try putting a fry net in your tank and feed it First Bites which is basically already a powder if he's that tiny. Good luck with him/her :) |
If you don't have any fish but him, you don't need the fry net. I feed mine crushed flake food, and they do fine. Just dont over feed him. If he's the only fish, just take 1 flake in the palm of your hand and crush with your thumb, brush it in the tank and watch him eat it. |
With my fry, I crush up flake food and blood worms. I put a few pinches of both into a bowl and crush them with my fingers until it's powder. I give a small pinch of that to my fry twice a day. It has worked very well for me. |
