When will Guppy babies start showing color?
I just had my first Guppy babies about a month ago. They are still alive but they all look just gray, with no color whatsoever. The father and mother were both bought from just a pet store and I dont even know if the mother was pregant before she arrived. The father is a fancy guppy but not the very fancy kind. The mother is very plain with no color on the tail at all.
I am just waindering if I should wait longer for the color to show...
It is just that I am not sure if they are just perhaps feeder guppy quality or will they become fancier and more colorful later on.
I am thinking of giving some to friends if they are fancy but if they are just going to look very plain then I will not do so.I am feeding them mysis shrimp and fancy guppy pellets. Someone told me I should just give them away as feeder guppies as they are going to take up tank space and will not become anything worth keeping...
I want to hear your thoughts, please.
Thank you very much.

Mine started to show color at 3 months.
But I did not have fry food and they grew slow.

One batch of my guppy fry are about a month old. at the moment and some are starting to show a little color but it is very faint. i gues it realy just depends on the fish though and what color traits they have because one of the males ive raised took 4 months to show any color.
