And so it begins
Finnaly got the stand finished to the point it can be setup. Moved it into location, and got the aquarium itself moved into place. I have it slightly filled up to the plastic frame for leveling.
Only thing left is to finish the oak doors (they can be added at any time) and to get shims to level the stand before filling 100%. I should be finished by this weekend and then comes the fun part of buying fish and plants to fill this think up!
It's been a multi-month long project building the stand and getting the room recarpeted but the end is in sight! Or is it the beginning 8-)
Edit: Forgot to say, this is a 6 foot 125 gallon aquarium.
looks awesome! wish I had the room for something like that!! what are you going to do with it? aquascaping wise, and stock?
Aquascape plans got destroyed, so I'm not entirely sure. I was going to try to put in terraces and make the impression of a river running through a pair of them, and a piece of driftwood bridging the gap like a natural land bridge.
But... the terrace idea didn't work out. So I'm back at the drawing board. I have lots of Malaysian Driftwood, with a couple of larger pieces, that will be going in for sure.
10x Marble Hatchetfish
10x Diamond Tetra
10x Harlequin Rasbora
6x Julii Cory
6x Schwartz Cory
1x Whiptail Catfish
2x Bristlenose Pleco
For plants, this is still up in the air:
Pygmy Chain Sword
ahh, that first idea sounded good!
Man the possibilities are endless eh? with so much room, you could put some big stuff in there! urghh, I need a bigger house, or the mrs to move out!
If i had that tank, I dont know what i would do.
Maybe i could put some goldfish in it! LOL
Annoying Fish Expert "That is WAY too small. For Goldfish...."
200 Corys would be way too many...
This will be my first use of a canister filter. It has a spray bar, should I have it along the back or along the side? And pointed horizontal, angled down, or straight down? I won't have it angled upwards because I don't want surface disturbance.
Oh I was only kidding :))
