This is next to impossible to answer without some criteria from you.:-) Do you want to replicate a flowing stream, with species that need a gravel substrate with river rocks and some current? Or a quiet backwater or flooded forest with species that prefer dim light and lots of plants and wood? And what are your water parameters? And what size tank? Aside from the size of the individual catfish, some species need a group, others don't.

Just base the tank around Cory's try and breed a couple, and look at increasing the catties in the tank.

Well Byron its a 200 litre tank that im setting up today because my other tank is playin up
I want around medium sized cats a bit smaller and a bit larger just to give me a variety
id love to have a big mix of corys and a few pictus cats 2 or 3, i already have a gold pleco,
i picked up some things from work yesterday so i have black river sand , keyhole rocks and just a bunch of rocks with holes in them, and a nice peice of driftwood that has had the tannin taken out

maybe ill go just cats to start off

yea but still cats are boring on their own because they have nothing to grab the focus of the tank you need some middle swimmers just for the extra movement and attention
