55G Fresh Water Tank with rocks and drift wood
Rocks where boiled..
Taking a chance on the drift wood. (It's too big to boil)
All the plants are fake.
I have ... in this tank.
3 Ghost Shrimp
12 Neon Tetras (Ten young, two old)
1 Chinese Algea Eater.
Looks good! I like the large rock set-up. Lots of good hiding spots. :)
Looking really good. Do you plan to complete the school of danios?
The only thing I would mention is about boiling the rocks. Not recommended. Most often it will be fine but on ocassions it can be deadly. Have a read at this sticky:
I put the rocks in the sink and poored hot boiling water over them.. The contents of the rocks wouldn't have gotten hot enough to boil themselves.. Thus keeping the rocks at bay.
I plan to complete the danios as well. I'll probably get 10. I just have to wait for some moola. :)
That's good to hear. I just thought you had actually boiled them.
Well, looking good in any case. Your danios will appreciate you finishing off the school. :)
what kind of filter do you have going in it?
I have a marineland 330 (came with the tank)
and a fluval 403 canister
I am planning on adding 35-55 cherry shrimp to this set up.
I'd also like to change the background to solid black.
What is the general consensus here on that idea? :?:
10 Danios have been added making the number 12 :)
Shrimp have been ordered. 60 coming.
Tank current standing:
Am-0 No2-0 No3-5 pH-7.2
My pH is getting lower. It seems lower in my my 75 as well. Just not as low. Could this be from the tank being cycled?
(triple post!?! , lol jk) wow 60 cherry shrimp how much did that cost you?!
