Stocking a 10 gallon?
I want to add some fish to my 10 gallon tank.. I love platys, which is why i wanted to know some types i could put in my tank. It has 2 female bettas and 4 black phantom tetras. Is it full, or is there any way i can add some platys in?
I would not add anything to the tank..you are about maximum stock for a 10g tank.
oh. well that makes life easy then
The only thing I would stock a 10 gallon with is Guppies, Betta and a few variety of Tetra. Maybe small Cory Cats. Mollies, Platy and most other fish need more room to swim than a 10 gallon. Happy fish are healthy fish, after all.
If your fish get along now, then I would not add any more. You seem to be at your limit as it is for that size tank. I use a 10 gallon just as a quarantine tank to nurse the sick, to house fry and what-not.
I LOVE platy. They are awesome fish. I have several and in many different variety. Great fish, but they need more than 10 gallons, IMO.
