How to tell if my platy is pregnant
Hi I got two female platies and one male about 2 weeks ago. I had one random fry that died because of an accident, but my female looks fat. I don't know if I'm just imagining it, or if she's actually pregnant. How fat are they when they're actually pregnant. Also, people talk about a "gravid" spot or something. How big is that when they're pregnant?

Oh okay, so it's more on their side?

It's just behind their belly. Can you post a picture?

Yeah, I can try, but I can't get any good ones. I'm also still figuring this whole thing out, so I'll have to figure out how to do it. I can probs do it tomorrow. But she basically looks plump, to describe it in a word. :) If you look at the post, "look at my pregnant platy please" she's way fatter than that.

Well I had a molly that was pregnant but pretty much maintained the same weight, so maybe she's just overweight. Chances are though that she probably is pregnant...just because she's a live bearer and they tend to do that kind of thing a lot.
